Askie Wins a 2026 NAPPA Award

We're thrilled to share some big news: Askie has been named a 2026 NAPPA Award Winner.

The National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA) have been recognising products that help families connect, learn and enjoy time together for more than three decades. Askie's award evaluation includes comments from expert evaluators, parents and children, so this recognition comes from the people Askie is built for.

Why This Means So Much

We set out to build an AI companion that a parent can feel good handing to their child: not a chatbot built for adults with a kids' skin on top, but a product designed from the ground up around child safety, curiosity and joy.

Being recognised by an award that listens to parents and children tells us we're on the right path. It's the kind of trust we don't take for granted.

What Askie Does

Askie is a voice-first AI companion for curious kids aged 4-15, on iOS, Android and the web:

• Voice conversations, no typing needed. Kids simply talk, which suits car rides, bedtime and the endless "but why?" moments.
• Homework help in kid-friendly language. Concepts explained at the right level for each child's age.
• Creative AI art. Kids describe what they imagine and see it come to life, with safety filtering on every image.
• Bedtime stories. Personalised stories children can create and continue.
• Safety and privacy parents can check. Multi-layer safety filtering, conversation transcripts and artwork parents can review, a parent-only PIN for settings, COPPA-compliant child privacy protection, no ads, and no selling of child data.
